An Active Space for Educational Health and Physical Fitness
Creating a wow-experience on a $350,000 renovation budget which had to include carpet, painting, graphics, and furniture. In the previous space, guests weren’t going to the reception station to sign in which is required for security purposes. They were also challenged creating a new space that served all age groups, as it is a general community and fitness center that does not just serve the campus but the community as a whole.
In addition to using affordable Herman Miller and other manufacturers ancillary products to inject color and comfort for all age groups, a way finding solution was created to require registration desk sign in. Using the new carpet to create a path along with benches and planters to create space division naturally requiring them to travel to the reception station.
