A Learning Space for Cultural Engagement
Goodmans provided programming, space planning, specifications, final drawings, procurement, order tracking, receiving, delivery and installation. The project consists of a large classroom situated in the Hogan structure on campus. The space was designed for tiered instruction allowing for line of sight to the professor and flexibility for cultural events. The classroom lecture tables were of varied heights and included lounge seating so students would have a choice in selecting the most attentive position for study. Along the periphery are computer carrels for independent study. The teaching area is surrounded by bookcases holding artifacts and books. Display cases also showcase cultural artifacts.
