GoodTHREADS
Since 2009, GoodTHREADS has clothed over 14,000 children ages newborn to 18 years old.
GoodTHREADS was started by a Goodmans employee in 2009. As a foster and adoptive parent, she had a deep personal understanding of the challenges foster, adoptive and kinship families face in Arizona. She had an idea and brought it to Goodmans. The company supported her personal mission with an investment of company resources such as warehouse space, delivery trucks, donation bins, marketing support and by encouraging employee volunteer participation.
Together with the Goodmans' Tucson team, GoodTHREADS has clothed over 14,000 kids and enjoyed watching them benefit from the warmth, dignity, pride and sense of community that come with the nice clothing and accessories provided by GoodTHREADS and the experience of attending a GoodTHREADS exchange event.
GoodTHREADS Monthly Clothing Exchange
GoodThreads, a 501-(C)(3) nonprofit started by Goodmans provides children’s clothing for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Every 2nd Saturday of each month, GoodThreads hosts a clothing exchange. Parents are encouraged to bring gently used, clean clothing that their children have outgrown as a donation.
**Please bring DCS form FC069 “Notice to Provider” for each foster and kinship child.

Every month, our legion of exceptional volunteers work tirelessly to ensure every family who arrives to the Exchange leaves with the clothing they need. From sorting to personally fitting children with the clothes on Exchange days, our volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. You are invited to join us in putting smiles on the faces of children!
How You Can Help
- Donate new or gently used and CLEAN clothing, books,and shoes, hangers (no wire hangers, please), backpacks, bags and purses. Click Here for a clothing bin location.
- Help us collect clothing donations by placing a collection bin at your business location.
- Make a monetary donation by visiting www.goodthreads.info.
- Volunteer at one of our monthly Exchange events.
- Organize a volunteer team to help sort clothing or accept and distribute clothing at the monthly exchange event.
